Sell art through an auction site.
The gallery not only sells art from its gallery / studio but also through various on-line auction sites such as Catawiki, Art Auction and Art Insight.
We see sales through these sites as an extension of our gallery.
However, we do want to stress that the best way to buy art is still through a visit to the gallery.
Again, read the post in our blog on why we think so.
On this page, we will regularly put artworks currently in the portfolio up for auction in the near future.
How this works.
With the image in the portfolio, we indicate that an artwork has been put up for auction and therefore a sale is only possible through the mentioned auction site.
So also according to the rules of the respective site.
We post the image on this page complete with the information that is also in the portfolio.
If the artwork is not auctioned, it returns as for sale in the porfolio page.
And the image and information will be removed from the page.
Important.
At a gallery sale, you always pay more for an artwork, this is understandable because, as a gallery, you have little work in placing your artworks in an on-line auction of art site.
As a gallery, you have to devote a lot of time and care to managing a gallery.
Again, I refer to the blog best way to buy art.
We do try to stay as close as possible with our prices of what an artwork can do at auction.
But if you want maximum assistance in buying a work of art, the gallery/workshop is the best route.
If you want to pay as little as possible for a work of art, the on-line sites are a resource.
Currently in auction at Catawiki.
